I submitted my play “I’m Ready” to the 2025 Playbill ITC International Theater Competition for Scripts Only and I have been very pleased with the competition. This competition offers playwrights something that other contests do not: a written review and evaluation of the submitted play by a NYC theater professional. I was very pleased with both the review of my existing work by this theater professional, which was lengthy, and the suggestions that this professional made to improve my play in the future. This kind of advice is difficult to obtain from a source like this. I have already started working on the suggestions for future versions of this work. I found this competition to be well worth applying for and would encourage other playwrights to do so!
