Cindy’s first solo work started with a piece called, “Whatever Happened to Cat Stevens?” She has since written and performed 2 more solo works. Her most recent show, “Recreating Keiter” was seen Off Broadway in NYC at the Lion Theatre on Theatre Row. Born in New York, spent her early childhood in Philadelphia, then moved to Hawaii in elementary school. She transferred from the University of Hawaii to NYU Tisch School of the Arts where she received her BFA in Drama.

She’s performed in numerous productions in NYC. Some of her favorite roles are: Meg in “A Lie of the Mind”, Madame Ranevskaya in “The Cherry Orchard”and Juror #6 in “12 Angry Women.” She’s been seen in the New York Fringe Festival several times. She performed in several plays by Fred Stroppel at the historical Nuyorican Cafe in NYC. “Domestic Violence,” by Stropped was remounted in Los Angeles, directed by Jana Robbins and winning a Dramalogue Award for Best Performance. Also in Los Angeles, she played the role of Buffy Starr in Murphy Guyer’s,”World of Mirth”, garnering another Dramalogue Award. On TV, she has been seen in several commercials on MTV, the FX channel and others. She has been featured on “Law and Order” on NBC-TV. Her various film work includes, Janus Films – “I Was a Teenage Zombie”, “Wake Up it’s Yesterday” currently in international film festivals. She just completed the role of Mrs. Hart in the suspense/horror film, “Born Again Reject,” which has been winning awards in festivals such as the Best Ensemble Award in the “Random Acts of Terror Film Festival”.

Haole – How did a nice Jewish girl from Long Island become a surfing Haole?”
A solo show written and performed by Cindy Keiter is her father’s sportscasting career through her eyes and her appreciation of it. Her “love letter” to her father if you will. With the use of photographs, and videos from Les Keiter’s professional career as well as personal ones from Cindy and her family, she shares the behind the scenes story of a TV and radio Sports Announcer, her dad in this solo show format.
