BLURB (a short synopsis)
There’s more at stake than money as three brothers come together one weekend to wrestle for control of their parents’ estate. All three are hoping, through the course of the weekend, to repair their lives by getting to the truth about the family’s strange, unsettling history. But given that they have more triggers than a Smith-&-Wesson factory and that they all learned from their parents how to aim for emotional center-mass, the possibility that they will make it through the weekend without self-destructing as a family grows slimmer and slimmer.

PRODUCTION HISTORY
My script has had two readings so far, each time for an audience of about 50. The last reading featured Billy Crudup as Nick and Matt Maher as Jerry. The previous reading featured Neal Huff as Nick and Matt Maher as Jerry (I am thrilled that Matt Maher, one of my favorite actors, is a big fan of the play). These two readings were produced by Christie Evangelisto (Tony Nominee as producer of Grey Gardens) and directed by Sheryl Kaller (Tony Nominee for Next Fall).

NICK, 44 — Very driven despite his fondness for marijuana.
JERRY, 43 — Extremely high IQ, bitter. A naturally coked-up energy. A bit like Lenny Bruce.
HANNA, 42 — She tries her best to suffer fools, but it’s difficult.

YOUR BIOGRAPHY
(I've tried to enter my bio here several times, and the site keeps saying I'm doing something wrong. So I'm going for extra brevity: I'm a theater, film and TV actor. I wrote and directed a short film, Streetcar, starring Holland Taylor, which won awards.)
